From China to Africa in 3 months!

"We're waiting for this one HalfSwedish-halfturkish guy, seen 'em??"

Dear friends!

From now on and forward, I'll be writing in english so that all of my international friends can understand what really is going on in my "International Life"!

So what's the Story about Africa Emre???

Well, as you all know I'm a restless soul and I'm always looking for new challanges, and when the opportunity arouse to send an application to a so called Minor Field Study (MFS)- Scholarship, which is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency SIDA, I was quick to call my partner in crime Tobias to simply sell the whole Idea that we should apply for the Scholarship to produce our BachelerThesis in Africa somewhere. Tobias was totally surprised, but felt that "Shit, lets do this!"

"As you can see, I've almost covered the whole world after this Uganda trip!"

After convincing Tobias, while he was on a Åretrip (- 30 degress aint bad Tobias!), we started our brainstorming!! Everything from studuying the Microfinance banks in Bangladesh to study HIV and AIDS in Southafrica, all of a sudden "The Ideas" was accomplished after talking to my oldfriend Niklas from Chalmers Entreprenuership School in Gothenburg!

The idea is that me and Tobias will help Niklas larger Project, which involves that he's group of student will install Solarcells and Solarpanels in the small village of Bubulo, in Uganda! Mine and Tobias idea, in an abbriveated version, is to identify Entrepreneurs and the businessstructures in the area to make it easier for the Chalmersstudent to install the solarcells.

Well, this last Thursday we got the result from the Jury that decided who would recieve the SIDA-Scholarship on approximately $7.000 dollars. And the rest is accumulating in this blog...

2 months long African adventure in an uncertain environment...a journey of a lifetime!

We will be living approx 200km away from the capital Kampala, in a district where Mbale is the largest city...
